                                                    Silver Jubilee Celebration

On 5th April 2024 at 11:00 a.m., a thanksgiving Eucharist was celebrated to mark the Silver Jubilee of Gnana Deepalaya, the Formation House in Eluru. This cradle of the Province has nurtured many young Formees in their Religious Formation. The celebration, joined by Sisters, LASA members, and benefactors, was a moment of deep gratitude to the Most Holy Trinity. Fr. Joji, Rector of PIME Seminary, presided over the Jubilee Mass, during which the history of the house and the pioneering roles of Sr. Violantina and Sr. Clarissa were recalled with appreciation. Sr. Showrilu, the Provincial Superior, led the symbolic offering of seeds and saplings, praying for future vocations. The event concluded with the jubilee cake-cutting, a festive meal, and joyful memories cherished by all.

FORMATIVE ENCOUNTERS

The Formation Commission of ATRCRI organized a seminar titled “Psycho-Spiritual Wellbeing in Formation” from October 25th to 27th, 2024, at Jeevan Jyothi, Begumpet, featuring Fr. Gregory Pinto, SVD, as the key resource person. He emphasized the importance of Attraction, Generosity, and Willingness to grow in the formation process. He also focused on unmet or un- sublimated needs, particularly sexual needs, and their impact on psychological maturity, motivation, and spirituality.  The seminar fostered valuable connections among Formators from different Congregations and provided a collaborative space to share experiences and explore solutions. Thanks to Sr. Showrilu for facilitating this enriching opportunity to our Formators to enhance their formative mission.

ENTRANCE INTO POSTULANCY - 2024
On 15th June, seven Aspirants were joyfully welcomed into Postulancy at Gnana Deepalaya through a meaningful prayer service. Led by the Provincial Superior Sr. Showrilu and Animator Sr. Monica, the celebration emphasized the power of prayer in deepening one’s vocation. The theme, aligned with the ‘Year of Prayer,’ highlighted the call to become a “living prayer” like Jesus. The Crucifix was given as a sign of their commitment, followed by an aarti to the Word of God. Sr. Showrilu encouraged the Postulants to persist in prayer and fall deeply in love with Christ. The service concluded with intercessory prayers for their journey and for the world.

Social Exposure Programme

As part of the Postulancy Syllabus, the Postulants undertook a Social Exposure Programme to experience the Church’s mission in a rural setup. After a day of fasting prayer on January 9, the seven postulants, accompanied by their formator Sr. Joseline, set out to Gopavaragudem on January 11, 2025. There, they joyfully catechized children aged 4 to 10, prayed the rosary, and engaged them in games. They also visited seven nearby substations, prayed with 180 families, and joined in Mass and rosary in each village. From January 20 to 25, they visited the substations of Prakash Nagar and Gavaravaram, preparing children for Baptism and praying with families. This programme deepened their compassion, strengthened their zeal, and made them grateful for God's grace and protection throughout.
