FINAL PROFESSION 2026
On 21 April 2026, Srs.
Anindita Kujur, Milly Nayak, and Mounika Pothula joyfully made their Final
Profession at Maria Nivas, Gollapudi, centred on the theme “Consecrated and
Sent as Messengers of Peace.” They were spiritually prepared through three days
of prayer, reflection, silence, and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The solemn
Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Most Rev. Joseph Raja Rao
Thelagathoti, Bishop of Vijayawada, with concelebrating priests. The Sisters
pronounced their final vows in the hands of Sr. Showrilu Kondaveeti, Provincial
Superior, in the presence of their parents, relatives, Sisters, and
well-wishers. With heartfelt gratitude to Mother Francesca Sarcia, the General
Team, and all who supported them, the celebration concluded with felicitations,
blessings, fellowship, and joyful thanksgiving.
Gathering
for the Young Sisters & Juniors
The five-day
Communication Skills programme was arranged for the 20 Young Sisters and Juniors
together from 30th April to 2nd May 2026. Fr. Alex, SJ, enriched their
ability to communicate with clarity and confidence, and his book on ‘Master
Your Grammar’ continues to support their learning.
Sr. Showrilu Kondaveeti
guided them through SWOT Analysis and the Seven Mansions of St. Teresa of
Avila, helping them recognise areas for growth, deepen their prayer life, and
renew their commitment to vocation and mission.
Blessing and Inauguration
of St. Ann’s Intermediate College
The blessing and inauguration of St. Ann’s Intermediate College at Mangalapalem marked the fulfilment of a God-inspired vision and a significant milestone in the educational mission of the Sisters of St. Ann of Providence. The dream envisioned by the late Rev. Sr. Martin became a reality through the leadership of Rev. Sr. Showrilu Kondaveeti and the dedicated efforts of Rev. Sr. Catherine. The institution aims to provide quality education and empower young women, especially those from economically disadvantaged and marginalized backgrounds. Most Rev. Bp. Dr. Udumala Bala blessed and inaugurated the building amid prayer, cultural performances, and joyful celebration. The Holy Eucharist and felicitation programme expressed gratitude to the Sisters, benefactors, staff, engineers, workers, and all who contributed to the project. The college now begins a new mission of nurturing students in wisdom, faith, excellence, character, and compassionate service to society.
Youth
Animation Programme
The Finally Professed and
Junior Sisters, along with Sr. V. Joseline, conducted a three-day Youth Camp at
the substations of Jakkampudi from 23rd to 25th April 2026. The mornings were
dedicated to family visits, prayer, sharing the Word of God, and strengthening
faith and family bonds. Evening sessions included prayer, group discussions,
team-building activities, Bible enactments, and interactive programmes for the
youth. The camp fostered spiritual growth, leadership, responsibility,
cooperation, and self-confidence among the young people. The final day featured
a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Fr. Jayaraj Nagipogu, OSB, along
with an inspiring session by Fr. Ajay Kumar, SDB. The Sisters gratefully
acknowledged God’s blessings and the support of the Provincial Superior,
Councillors, Sr. V. Joseline, Sr. Rajitha, and all who contributed to the
success of the mission.
Golden
and Diamond Jubilee celebrations
On 16th January, the
Golden and Diamond Jubilee celebrations of our beloved Sisters took place in St.
Ann’s Provincialate, Gollapudi. The celebration began with prayer and
thanksgiving to God for His abundant blessings and for the dedicated lives of
the Jubilarians. The Sisters’ lives of faith, humility, sacrifice, and loving
service to God, the Church, and society inspired everyone present. The LASA
members enthusiastically assisted in organizing the celebration, welcoming
guests, and serving wherever needed. The inspiring life journeys of the
Jubilarians encouraged everyone to deepen their prayer life, serve others, and
remain faithful to Christian values. The celebration concluded with the
Jubilarians lovingly blessing all the LASA members, making the occasion a
precious and memorable experience.
Platinum
and Diamond Jubilee
With hearts filled with
gratitude, the Platinum and Diamond Jubilee of Sr. Aurelia Ekka and Sr.
Terenzia Dungdung was joyfully celebrated at St. Ann’s Convent, Tamnar, on 15th
February 2026. The solemn Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Most
Rev. Bishop Paul Toppo, Bishop of Raigarh, along with several priests, giving
thanks for the Jubilarians’ years of dedicated religious life and service. The
Holy Mass was a profound expression of gratitude for God’s abundant blessings
and guidance throughout their vocation journey. Sisters, relatives, friends,
LASA members, and faithful from Tamnar, Raigarh, and Gharghoda joined the
celebration in large numbers. The presence of Sr. Showrilu, Provincial
Superior, and Sisters from various communities added joy and significance to
the occasion. The celebration concluded with a festive meal, strengthening the
bonds of communion and honouring the Jubilarians’ legacy of commitment,
sacrifice, and love.
First LASA Congress – A
Journey of Formation, Communion and Renewal:
The First LASA Congress
was held on 21st and 22nd March 2026 at Maria Nivas, Gollapudi, bringing
together 47 LASA members and 12 Sister coordinators from 13 units of the
Province. The Congress provided a grace-filled opportunity for formation,
reflection, renewal, and a deeper understanding of the LASA mission. Sr.
Letitia D’Souza animated sessions on the role of the laity, the Barolian
Method, and the values of compassion, person-centredness, and preventive
guidance. The second day focused on the Synodal Journey, communion,
participation, and collaboration, enriched by greetings and encouragement from
the Superior General and General Councillors. Insights into the origin and
functioning of LASA in Latin America inspired the members to deepen their
commitment as lay collaborators in the Congregation’s mission. The Congress
strengthened their sense of belonging and co-responsibility, sending them forth
with renewed faith, unity, and dedication to carry forward the mission of the
Founders.
